This competition is BJCP-sanctioned and open to any amateur homebrewer age 21 or older who is a member of a Nebraska homebrew club.
All mailed entries must be received at the mailing location by the shipping deadline - please allow for shipping time.
All entries will be picked up from drop-off locations the day of the drop-off deadline.
All entries must be handcrafted products, containing ingredients available to the general public, and made using private equipment by hobbyist brewers (i.e., no use of commercial facilities or Brew on Premises operations, supplies, etc.).
The competition organizers are not responsible for mis-categorized entries, mailed entries that are not received by the entry deadline, or entries that arrive damaged.
The competition organizers reserve the right to combine styles for judging and to restructure awards as needed, depending upon the quantity and quality of entries.
Qualified judging of all entries is the primary goal of our event. Judges will evaluate and score each entry. The average score will rank each entry in its category. Each flight will have at least one BJCP judge.
Brewers are not limited to one entry per category but may enter each subcategory only once.
The competition committee reserves the right to combine overall style categories based on the number of entries. All possible effort will be made to combine similar styles. All brews in combined categories will be judged according to the style they were originally entered in.
The Best of Show winner will be determined by a Best of Show panel based on a second round of judging the top winners.
The Steward Best of Show winner will be determined by a Steward Best of Show panel based on second judging of each second-place winner in each category.
Bottles will not be returned to entrants.
Entry Acceptance Rules
Number of Bottles Required Per Entry: 3 (the 3rd bottle will be used in the Steward Best-of-Show judging round)
Each entry is $10.00. All entries must be paid before or with drop-off via cash, check, or PayPal.
No member of an entrant may submit another entry of the same subcategory, whether as an individual entrant, a member of the same entrant, or a member of another entrant.
Each entry will consist of capped bottles or sealed cans that are void of all identifying information, including labels and embossing.
Three 12-oz brown glass bottles are preferred; however, green will be accepted.
Swing-top bottles will likewise be accepted, as well as 12oz and 16oz cans.
Every entry must include a bottle identification label attached to each bottle with a rubber band. Using glue or tape to secure the labels to the bottles will disqualify an entry. Bottle labels for a single entry must have the same information on both bottles.
If mailing your entries, we encourage you to include cold packs and protective padding to ensure speedy shipping. (The competition organizers are not responsible for entries that arrive damaged or entries that arrive outside of the scheduled timeframe.)
We also recommend placing your printed entry sheets in a zip-lock bag and securing them to your bottles/cans with rubber bands.
Submitted bottles/cans become the property of the competition and will not be returned.

There could be earlier deadlines for some drop-off locations listed, particular hours when entries are accepted, certain individuals to leave your entries with, etc. All entrants are responsible for reading the information provided by the organizers for each drop-off location.
